7th Eurasian Media Forum to Raise Topical Issues of These Days  

Almaty, Kazakhstan, 24th and 25th April 2008

     The Organising Committee of the EAMF advises that the 7th Eurasian Media Forum will take place from 24th to 25th April 2008 in Almaty, Intercontinental Hotel. The invited delegates include global journalistic stars, editors-in-chief of influential print media, well-know politicians, scientists, experts and businessmen. During the course of the two-day conference recent most topical issues will be discussed.

 Kosovo’s unilateral declaration of independence

 Eurasia bearing in mind modern challenges and dangers 

 And as a follow-up to such topic as Glamorisation of the Media discussed at the last conference this time such topic as Glamour in Politics will be discussed

     Other topics to be discussed include the role of the media in the crisis of the world financial system, relationship between Russia and US following election processes, who leads the former Soviet Union republics, respect for intellectual property rights, covering potential global climate change et al. Key speakers to speak at the 7th Eurasian Media Forum include:  

Zbigniew Brzezinski, the national security adviser between 1977 and 1981, Fatima Bhutto and many others.

     Also, the Organising Committee of the EAMF advises that accreditation of the media to cover activities of the 7th Eurasian Media Forum will take place from 19/03/08 through 16/04/08.

     The aim of the Eurasian Media Forum is to facilitate free and open dialogue on global challenges of these days and the media influence on them between politicians, journalists and experts in search for new approaches to ensuring political stability and security in the region.
