As Chairman of the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, I am delighted and honoured to participate in the 2004 Conference. In a few short years, the Eurasian Media Forum has established itself as one of the premier international media events in the world. It is a venue where television and media professionals, government leaders, journalists, and academics can freely meet to discuss and consider important issues affecting not only the region but also the world. The organizers are to be congratulated for having the foresight and wisdom in presenting this important event. The International Television Academy is proud to be an active participant this year and in the future.
