I greet the participants of the Second Eurasian Media Forum and would like to point out that events and developments in the modern international arena indicate, undeniably, that Eurasia has become a region where the new world order will be shaped. And it is mass media outlets and their journalists who represent the interests of ordinary citizens and civil societies in the fight for the future world order. The Eurasian idea has various interpretations. These interpretations vary widely, from Eurasian isolationism to an alternative of the American global model, from the form of the Russian (Eurasian) civilization to the wide and flexible network of numerous and mutually complementing relationships within the framework of our continent.

Anyway, one thing is clear: Eurasia is waking up, it is breathing; moreover, it is breathing irregularly and is looking for a new place in the world, and even putting in a claim to be one of the leaders of the 21st Century.
Journalism is always the fastest barometer available to measure these emerging trends, although not always the most reliable.

We can only congratulate Kazakhstan and beautiful Almaty, for bringing together, for a second time, those who can examine the data provided by current journalistic barometers and openly discuss the results.
I wish every success to the Forum guests, and I myself will be happy to be among them.
