On behalf of the International Television and Radio Academy let me welcome those who have gathered in Almaty to discuss the issues on encouraging further development of the Eurasian media and information community.
Given the variety of challenges we all encounter today, it is often increasingly difficult to reach a mutual understanding. Under these conditions all mass media must bear a special responsibility on promoting and attempting to preserve global stability.
Eurasia has become a reality, but it is imperative that it be a space of peace, consent and understanding.
