Johann Fritz, Director, International Press Institute, Austria At the first conference of the Eurasian Media Forum (EAMF 2002), the organisers started a 'tradition' of designating Partner Organisations, which were willing to cooperate and assist in structuring the working sessions. Since the International Press Institute was able to cooperate with the organisers of EAMF 2003 and to propose a press freedom debate as one of the conference working sessions, IPI gladly accepts its partnership with EAMF.
